Last week, the annual Chicago Reader reader poll announced that my podcast SINGLES ONLY was voted the best podcast of '20. It was delightful to see how my podcast had grown from a promotion idea for my live weekly show at Laugh Factory to a podcast with almost 250 episodes. At the time, I had never even listened to a podcast but Jamie Masada (owner of the World Famous Laugh Factory) suggested the concept and name for me to assist my future goals. He was right. I am forever indebted to him for the opportunity and his wisdom. After a long hiatus the show, now called "Drink Date Laugh" returns to the Chicago Laugh Factory on Thursday May 6th.
I was also runner up for Best Stand Up comedian. The winner was my friend Sarah Perry who has been crushing it, so I guess I was the best MALE comedian? I am hoping these wins can lead to more opportunities on the road and back at home in Chicago where I hope to be performing more at Laugh Factory, Zanies Comedy Club, The Comedy Bar and the Improv.
I am also excited that after a year long hiatus, my show Everyone's a Lawyer (where comedians act as lawyers in a comedy game show) returns to Laugh Factory this Sunday! # The ticket link is in the comments below. Comedy is back!
