WHATS THE WORST SONG EVER?

First off, this is so subject and there are so many to choose from. For me, anything by the Red Hot Chili Peppers should be considered? Not a fan. If I hear Anthony Keidis’ voice on the radio, I need to change it immediately or in a public place, I need to leave or cover my ears. I am not sure when that started because when I was a kid, I loved the Chili Peppers and saw them in concert a few times. But yeah, they are my least favorite band, for certain.
Surveys have been done and “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus and “We Built This City” by Starship seem to top most lists as does “Ice Ice Baby”, which I kinda like because it had the from my favorite song of all time, Under Pressure by Queen. But those don’t hurt my ears as much as the one song that comes to mind.
That song is “You Get What You Give” by the New Radicals is my all time least favorite song. I hated the video. I hated the lyrics and everything about the song. It still bums me out when I hear it. And the video just annoyed me. I didn’t like the mannerisms of the singer and the ending was so stupid, shouting out “we’ll kick their a**es”. What the f*ck?

I used to have a podcast with Marty DeRosa called “MAKE US A MIX TAPE” where we had guests do 5 song mix tapes for us and we would talk about the songs. We called ourselves music insiders, which is a nice way of saying “music snob” I suppose. When Covid happens we did themes for each other and we did different versions of bad songs (Bad songs great artists, Hits that we hated, etc). It was a fun podcast (go check it out wherever you podcast). Maybe we need to come back and do the 5 worst songs of all time for you all?
