Yes. All of them, at least when I first post them and I have time And I take it a step further. I respond to them. Obviously, the nice ones are “hearted” and I thank them, but the haters are the most fun to respond to. If they say I am not funny and don’t have a lot of time, I usually just apologize and say I will try better next time.
When I have more time, however, I usually look up the commenter and make fun of them personally. And 90% of the time the haters are one of two things (a) young male haters with 1-3 followers who clearly have sadness in their lives, most likely due to rejection from women. And I call that out, of course. Cause if all they likely do is critique artists who are putting the work out there, what are they doing to better the world. Sitting in their mom’s basement and switch between going on youtube to comment, self pleasuring and playing video games is not productive. I have to ensure they know, that I know they don’t get to be mean and walk away. I hate bullies. The other haters are (b) people who have found me on other social media pages after they didn’t like something I said about the law or politics on Facebook or Instagram. They then go to other comedy clips to lazily say I am not funny. These always pop up immediately after I post something somewhat benign about the legal system that, if you are in a cult, you feel is an attack on your leader. When I go to their page, I can find that, yes they are true believers in the President and I have attacked their king and they are upset. It’s not limited to that however, I recently had a flood of comments when I posted something negative about the “rapper” Macklemore who had a pro-Palestine song and I said something positive about Israel and called him out for dressing up once as a racially profiled Orthodox Jew. My comedy clips had ridiculous comments which including allegations that I was racists against brown people. I am, of course, brown. Again, lazy. So yes, I read the comments! hashtag#comments hashtag#standup hashtag#comedy hashtag#reviews hashtag#criticism
